About Galiba:

I am a freshman in Arts & Sciences interested in the intersection of technology with different fields of study such as the environment and sustainability. I was born and raised in the Bronx, which has allowed me to experience and see first-hand the environmental injustices that low-income and minority-majority communities often face within their neighborhoods compared to their wealthier counterparts.

At the Christopherson Center:

I would like to use technology to advocate, educate, and raise awareness of environmental obstacles that individuals in the Bronx and other underserved low-income communities face. Taking care of the Earth and the environment we reside in translates to taking care of ourselves and each other -- I am hopeful of creating a better world for every living being.
