About Deirdre:
Deirdre is a first-year Master's of Regional Planning student in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning (AAP), with a concentration in Environmental and Land Use Planning. She is passionate about environmental justice, climate resilience, and decarbonization, and she seeks planning and design solutions that work in harmony with nature to benefit both people and ecosystems.

Deirdre graduated from the University of Notre Dame with majors in Political Science and Environmental Sciences, along with a minor in Sustainability. After graduation, she worked in energy development, focusing on large-scale wind and solar farms. She then transitioned to working as a policy research specialist for a non-profit, where she focused on climate and energy planning, implementation, and stakeholder engagement efforts related to these areas.
