Chloe Long
Master's in Regional Planning
Summer 2024
About Chloe:
Chloe is a rising second-year Master’s in Regional Planning student in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning (AAP). She grew up in the suburbs of Fort Worth, Texas, where she experienced rapid urban development and loss of green spaces that frustrated the people around her. The lack of community involvement compelled her to study community-engaged planning and its intersections with place-making, climate adaptation and resilience, and equity.
Chloe received her B.S. in Environment and Sustainability with a minor in Urban and Regional Studies at Cornell University. She was a student intern at Cornell Cooperative Extension, helping staff develop educational materials, including a climate justice module, for the Cornell Climate Stewards program. Upon graduating, she became a program manager, fostering a passion for community engaged planning and action.
